news

There are rumblings about a tour in February with Tacoma Narrows Bridge Disaster and What the Blood Revealed, I'll let you know more when I can.

In other news we've finally finished our latest EP that we recorded earlier this year and we're keen to get it released as soon as possible. I think end of the year is a realistic goal.

We're looking to put on some shows at our new practise space so if you're a band wanting a show in Sheffield then fire us an email.

More later.

...right...

Sometimes logic drives you to do very strange things. A minute ago I bid on a copy of Mammalian on ebay, something I never saw myself doing. The auction can be found here if you fancy picking up a pretty cheap copy then my max bid is £2.50 and postage is £1 (we'll get onto that later). I'm assuming this cat bought it and didn't really dig it so they're selling it on which is totally cool. I do it the whole time. If they're a reviewer who received a free copy then I'm not that impressed but whatever, it's their choice and they probably gave us a decent review which is payment enough.

Anyway, that isn't the point. I've made a bid on a copy of our album because I stand a good chance of getting it for cheaper than what it cost us to have it made. Each copy of the album cost us £3.50 and we've been selling them for £5. We've got around 20 copies left (slightly less probably) and will have made our money back on it. Obviously it goes on the costs of touring/our practise room so we don't see any of it but it does go a long way to covering our costs. People have been really kind to us over the past couple of years and bought CDs and shirts which have helped us go some way to covering our costs. I just wanted to take the opportunity to thank anyone who was been involved with us.

We're working on the tracks we recorded a couple of months ago and our next release will be soon. September seems to be the month that's getting mentioned most, we'll see. Also, if you don't want to risk the myriad of dodgy torrent sites that have our album up then you can grab it off our bandcamp for whatever price you like.

recording done/short break/end of may tour

So we had some awesome shows in May. Knut and Keelhaul was incredible. We also recorded our new EP in April and we've started mixing. Artwork is in the pipeline, will be by Miriam Dobson who did the Mammalian painting.

We're taking a few weeks off and we're all psyched for end of May tour with Tree of Sores. We're still looking for a date on May 31st, hit us up if you can help or know anyone who can. Merch stuff, we've sold out of grey shirts and we're running out of Mammalian albums. Sadly all the money we've made has gone on various things (petrol, van hire, rent etc.) so we won't be able to afford another run for a short while.

Here are some photos from recording. Sorry about the poor quality, I forgot to take my camera to the studio:

plans

we're planning for a release that will happen in the summer. 3 tracks now, two are heavy and one is a jam track but nothing like the one on the last release (mammalian). we're recording from April 15th-17th and we'll probably do most of it live. potential tracklisting is:

1.Welcome to the Cool Club
2. Mexploitation
3. Cptn. Cluedo

In other news we've had a bunch more reviews for Mammalian. One in Rock Sound gave us 9/10 which is sweet, massive respect to them. Others:

Echoes and Dust
Room Thirteen
Metal Perspective

And we're still looking for gigs with Tree of Sores on May 29th, 31st and June 1st if there's anyone wanting to put us on. Also looking for shows in late June/early July with Whitemare.
